Project Description
In the Gaza Strip in Palestine, severely affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, local residents face a shortage of water resources and aid. Many people lack access to clean water, leading to increased health risks and sanitation issues. Economic hardship and population displacement have further exacerbated the crisis, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian assistance to provide basic supplies and support.
To address this, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) delivered four Spectra Watermakers Aquifer 4000 fresh water production systems to the area, which have been installed and are used by nearly 400 households.
About Aquifer 4000
The Aquifer 4000 is a high-efficiency, high-capacity desalination system designed to produce 16 cubic meters (approximately 4,300 gallons) of potable water per day from any source, including fresh, brackish and seawater.
This new portable system is designed to be lightweight and can be carried by two people. The Aquifer 4000 is extremely energy efficient, requiring only a 3.5 kW generator to operate, and is specifically designed for use in harsh environments. The system is ideal for disaster relief, humanitarian aid programs, and other applications requiring portability.
