Indonesia required a durable, transportable drinking water treatment system capable of immediate operation under various raw water conditions. Raw water at disaster sites can come from rivers, lakes, groundwater, brackish water, or seawater, and a single treatment unit often struggles to cover all scenarios.
Therefore, the tactical water purification truck is not equipped with just one desalination system, but integrates water intake, pre-filtration, reverse osmosis purification, storage, and UV post-treatment onto a single vehicle. The raw water pump can draw water from up to approximately 80 meters away, eliminating the need for the vehicle to be parked directly by the water source.

When facing seawater or high-salinity water, the SPECTRA LB-2800F can produce approximately 440 liters of drinking water per hour; when treating fresh water, the entire system can produce about 1,500 liters per hour. The truck is equipped with a 1,600-liter storage tank and uses a UV device for post-treatment.
Based on the original case's estimate of 4 liters of drinking water per person per day, the seawater mode can support approximately 2,600 people, while the freshwater mode can support approximately 9,000 people. These numbers represent the supply scale under specific water production conditions, and actual missions still require planning based on raw water quality, continuous operation time, climate, and distribution methods.
The entire vehicle can be transported by a Hercules aircraft and can begin operation approximately 30 minutes after arriving on site. At the time of the case's publication, 3 units were already in use, and another 3 were planned for completion in 2022; this quantity is retained based on the historical information of the original case.
